A Unique Visitor Experience on the Wild Atlantic Way

Alpaca Experience

Seeing is believing and going awwwww…

Alpaca Visit

2 hours approx
single, family and group rates apply

Come and visit us at our small farm of alpacas, horses, dogs and cat. Get up close to our alpacas, see how they behave, ask questions. Feel their amazingly soft fleece, see how we prep it and home spin it on our traditional Irish spinning wheel or weave it on our looms. Try it for yourself. Say hello to our very friendly horses while you’re here! Listen to the birdsong, enjoy the quiet unspoilt nature and have a friendly cuppa before you leave.

Alpaca visit and Spinning or Dyeing Workshop

morning or afternoons usually
single or group rates apply

This workshop is designed for those ‘crafty’ people who wish to experience first hand the process of creating something special from these amazing animals. The workshop can be tailored to suit individual or group requirements; a fun day meeting our animals, spinning their fibre, knitting the wool, having the craic and of course not forgetting the cupán tae! ‘Crafty’ groups can also book this space for their own private event.

Alpaca visits for care organisations etc.

times and rates by arrangement

Did you know that alpacas (and horses) have unique qualities that make them ideal as therapy animals? Just sitting watching them can be therapeutic after a stressful day. The quiet nature of these animals have been known to reduce stress, increase trust and socialisation opportunities through simple activities like general animal care and husbandry. Just contact if this is something you may wish to experience.

Alpaca visits for schools etc.

times and rates by arrangement

How about spending a few hours of fun watching and learning about these very unusual creatures. One local school has been very lucky watching our shearer on shearing day last year! Lots of questions, lots to learn, all new to experience. Contact if this is something your school or educational group may be interested in.
